My travel experience to
"San Agustin"
was an experience
full of knowledge, exploration of antiques and family time.
My family group consisted of approximately twenty people between cousins, uncles, parents and brothers. The journey from Gigante, the town where we were staying, to the archaeological park lasted about three hours, but looking at all the landscapes that make the Huila that time passed very quickly.

Upon
arrival, a tour guide showed us all
about the tombs of the ancient
culture San Agustin, it's
amazing to know how the Indians gave meaning to their sculptures,
and as without having many years of evolution, developed their own
form of language and communication.

Each
sculpture and every detail had meaning for them, for example, the
"fuente de Lavapatas", this site shows the great artistry that showed these
Indians, when I saw that, I ran out
of words because its architecture
is impeccable, and its meaning,
which refers to animals that were sacred to them
(snakes), and with which they made their rituals.

I recommend a walk through the sites that remember our roots, our ancestors and that have a rich culture that can be shared with family.
Vissiting San Agustin must be a very enriching experience.
ResponderEliminarI would like to go there and learn more about the history of the place.
ResponderEliminarThe "Parque Arqueologico" is the most beautiful place of San Agustin I really would like to go.
ResponderEliminarI also chose San Agustin, because it is a mix of history, ecotourism and extreme sports. And the people that live there are very friendly and the hotel are very beautiful.
ResponderEliminarI remember that in this place, when i went, have a legend about the "hipogeos" because in the past this place was sacred for the Indians.
ResponderEliminarExcellent place to have a unforgettable trip with the family or your friends
ResponderEliminarThanks for the recommendation, I will have in mind for my next vacation, worth noting that I love historical places.
